This is the easiest star I've made. It comes from a Marathi (regional language in my hometown Ahmadnagar) origami book by Ratnakar Mahajan. Dad showed me how to do it on skype. Thanks Dad!!!
All you need is a little patience to fold 16 pieces of paper.
Materials: 16 pieces of square paper. I used 4"x4" medium weight paper.
Do the following steps for each sheet of paper. Find the center and fold each corner to the center.
Take 2 corners and fold them to the center line.
Turn it over and fold the smaller triangle up.
Turn it over again and fold in half.
Fold all 16 papers this way. Each one is a module. I wanted to hang the star in a window so I strung a thread in a small hole on the top of one of the pieces.
Now attach the pieces. Take 2. Use the pockets of piece 1 to slide in the shorter sides of the piece 2 triangle.
Attach all 16 pieces to make the star! Voila! See the beautiful circle in the center just come alive.

dear bhavna,
i am very much surprised to see the star,
wonderfull.go ahed!!!i am sure you can do better.have fun. umed
