Its a specially nice day if you go out in the garden and are rewarded by a site of a hummingbird couple sitting side by side chatting away on the clothesline. They were actually still and talking. Of course they left the moment I returned back to the scene with my camera.
Soon, one came back and got some dinner from the pink sage.
The pomegranet tree - in its second year, is fruiting. Thanks to our neighbor Barry who gave us the tree and planted it for us. This is very exciting - the pom is one of my favorite memories of childhood in India.
We have a tomato forest. Sun gold cherry tomatoes seem to do great in overcast weather and June gloom in San Diego is good for this one thing. The first of these sweet special babies are just coming in and we are enjoying them with cucumbers and French feta cheese.
We have 4 kinds of poppies in the garden. Pink, White, Orange, and a brilliant Red. They are short-lived and can have a special glow, even in a colorful garden. I love all the stages of their coming to life.
